Do XtendFlex® soybeans have an agronomic fit on all the acres planted to soybeans in the U.S.? 

Being built on Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® technology with the addition of glufosinate tolerance, we believe that XtendFlex soybeans have an agronomic fit across all the acres planted to soybeans in the U.S. and have plans to make it available in our leading genetics in all maturity zones.

How quickly do you expect to ramp your penetration to XtendFlex soybeans?

For the 2021 season, we are planning for rapid penetration that is on par with the first year of Roundup Ready 2 Xtend penetration following the full system approval, which was approximately 20 million acres, including Bayer brands and licensees. 

XtendFlex® Technology products benefit from the full complement of new technological advancements being deployed in Breeding, including Protected Culture, Genome-Wide Selection, more accurate phenotyping and advances in Artificial Intelligence.

Will you transfer your entire soybean portfolio to XtendFlex soybeans?

We continue to base our product mix on farmer demand. The current portfolio of Roundup Ready 2 Xtend® soybean products continues to be an industry leader in performance and we anticipate that strong performance, will continue.

We are excited to offer farmers an additional choice and flexibility with the addition of XtendFlex soybeans to Roundup Ready® Xtend Technology.

Has COVID-19 impacted the 2021 XtendFlex soybean seed supply?

During this unprecedented time, our number one priority is the safety and well-being of our customers, business partners, employees, and communities in which we live and work. At this time, we do not see an impact to our XtendFlex soybeans launch volumes due to COVID-19. We continue to monitor this situation closely. As a company, we operate with contingency plans, and a diverse supply chain, to help minimize disruptions to our customers that depend upon us to provide our products in a timely manner.
